Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The early years foundation stage (EYFS) set standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to five years old

All Ofsted registered early years providers must follow the EYFS.

We offer 15 or 30 hours free childcare for 2, 3 & 4 year olds in a flexible way that suits you!

We deliver the EYFS like all Early Years Pre-schools & Nurseries. So you can be sure that your child will be getting all the support they need to learn & prepare for school!

Siblings can stay together throughout their early years care!

Choosing a childminder means continuity of care for your child as long as they require it!

Childcare in a home environment means your child will enjoy real life learning experiences in a small group!

We can be spontaneous, making the most of a sunny or unexpectedly snowy day which is a great opportunity for outdoor play & learning!

We have small groups of children with a higher adult to child ratio which means we can focus more on individual children!

We assist children & parents with the transition of their child into school!

We have paediatric first aid & safeguarding training as well as many other training & qualifications!

We form lasting & strong relationships with the children we care for!

Why Choose a Childminder?

Outings

We regularly take the children to  soft play centres which helps them with the development of their;

  • motor skills

  • communication skills

  • problem solving

  • social skills

In the summer term we take the children on an educational trip, such as Cannon Hall Farm.

Setting Features

Play Room

We have a play room situated at the front of our house which has a wide variety of fun resources to enable children to learn and progress.

We have two spacious gardens to the front & rear that are secured with fencing & gates.

We set up the outdoor areas with resources to cater for children’s learning, next steps and planned activities.

Local Park

We are in walking distance of Crow Nest Park which has a children's playground, museum, formal lawns (great for picnics), greenhouse, cafe, sports facilities

(great for ball games), wild flower garden, large adventure playground and a large pond with ducks.
